ABOUT ME

Amari's story began at Main Street Elementary where she attended and first discovered her love of the arts! She had witnessed her first-ever performance of a singing group called the Main Street Singers and minis. The class was taught by her teacher who also happens to be a dance instructor. She encouraged Amari to try something new and she did. From that moment on she participated in everything that had to do with music. She was in plays, choruses, ensembles (a show choir version of regular chorus), piano and guitar classes, dancing classes, and more. She even took up art for a while, but nothing compared to the feeling she got when she was singing. Not realize that her family had a great influence on her love for music until later on in her high school years. She made a discovery of her grand and great parents being on the band, leading to her sister and uncle joining. Most of her great-aunts and uncles either sang or played a variety of instruments. It makes sense of the talent she and her cousins display. It was the fact that they all grew up in the church choir and developed what they learned over the years into skills and talents that have been resourceful. After all, she would not have been so open to putting herself out there if it wasn’t for her experiences and her passion for doing things that make her and others happy. Amari always wanted to pursue some type of career where she could be surrounded by inspirational people. And as a child, she found herself conflicted with what she wanted to be when she grows up. It was always between a Lawyer and a musician/artist. So, once she graduated high school and all the military training she landed in Charleston, SC seeking out a Political Science degree with a concentration in Politics, philosophy, and law.  Turns out that wasn’t the immediate path she was supposed to take because she ended up right at Full Sail University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Production. From the classes, she took with them, she gained an abundance of knowledge and skills that she will be using for the rest of her life. If ever asked, Amari will say, 'Music isn’t just my passion. It’s my way of life, the very thing that is able to share all forms of emotion through words or a melody."
